The 2019 Lenin Award
Warmly welcome to participate in the 2019 award ceremony for the Lenin Award and the Robespierre Prize and the subsequent festivities! The awards will be given out by Lasse Diding at Varberg Theatre on Saturday April 27 at 13:00. There’s free entrance to the award ceremony and everyone is welcome!
The 2019 Lenin Award goes to professor Göran Therborn and the 2019 Robespierre Prize goes to cartoonist Daria Bogdanska. The award ceremony takes place at Varberg Theatre on Saturday April 27 at 13:00 and afterwards, the Jan Myrdal Society has its annual general meeting in the same premises. 2018 Lenin Award laureate Sven Wollter will make a speech to Göran Therborn and 2018 Robespierre Award laureate Henrik Bromander to Daria Bogdanska. Music by Jonsereds Proggorkester led by Bosse Stenholm with special guest Edo Bumba. The day will end with a big party at Gästis Kafé & Matsalar in Varberg.

Saturday’s party at Gästis Kafé & Matsalar includes a main course, cheese platter, cake buffet as well as music entertainment by Ensamma Hjärtan and party music by Jonsereds Proggorkester.

Rooms and party participation can be cancelled no later than 3 days before arrival. Cancellation after that means full charge.
