Henrik Bromander was awarded the 2018 Robespierre Prize with the following justification:
“Nobody in young Swedish literature has dissected the darker parts of masculinity deeper, broader or with greater empathy than the novelist, cartoonist and dramatist Henrik Bromander. In multi-layered unsympathetic portraits of bodybuilders, Internet trolls and culture men, and with bitter humour and deep humanism, he provides indispensable relief to the whole Me Too revolution.”
